Change of Guard at ComGuard: Press Release

Spectrum FZ, the award winning network training major based in Dubai has taken over the management of ComGuard FZ LLC, one of the leading IT security products distributor, located in Dubai Internet City. The take- over, also ended the market speculation over the fate of ComGuard, which was on the lookout for a reliable management that shared its visions and goals. 

ComGuard FZ LLC was set up in 2002, and distributes best-in-class IT network security products from Industry leaders like Juniper Networks, Webspy, Kaspersky, Argus, and Borderware. Its Channel Only distribution model has been successful, with an extensive reach across Middle East, Africa and Pakistan.

Herbert Kamensky, Managing Director of ComGuard has been assigned as the Chairman of the Holding Group that is one of current shareholders of ComGuard. This responsibility and associated global travel is taking up much of his time during 2007 and impacts his focus on the company’s management. Hence by end of year 2006 a decision was taken to find a management group that could provide active support. Spectrum FZ was an ideal choice for taking over the reins. 

Ajay Chauhan, head of Spectrum FZ said that the new acquisition brought around many challenges as well as opportunities to raise the bar of quality in distributing top-of-the-line IT security products. The convergence would also benefit from the in-house technological strengths of Spectrum.  Ajay added that the combined strengths of Spectrum and ComGuard will enable them to fine tune deliverables and also expand their existing customer bases that currently extend to 23 countries.  

Spectrum FZ has already made waves in the MEA market with its high quality, specialized networking training programs. With several firsts in the region like ‘Juniper Authorized Education Center’ and ‘Foundry Authorized Education Partner’, the training centers at Knowledge Village is also one of a kind in the entire MEA region. The fully loaded million dollar lab attracts telecom giants, corporate and blue chip networking enterprises.

In only 2 years of its operation, Spectrum achieved the rare distinction of winning 2 prestigious awards at the Juniper partner meet in December 2006. The 'JUNIPER NETWORKS EXCELLENCE IN TRAINING (EMEA)' and 'JUNIPER NETWORKS BEST INSTRUCTOR AWARD (EMEA)' stand out as an acknowledgement of Spectrum’s dedicated effort and focus on achieving quality in technical training programs.
